4. Strawberry Grand Parade
Date: March 3, 2025 Monday @ 1 PM.
This annual parade showcases local talent, colorful floats, and plenty of strawberries. It’s a can’t-miss spectacle for families. Moves though downtown up to Sammonds Rd.

Here comes my favorites part. The festival is a foodie’s paradise. Beyond the strawberries, you’ll find:
- Fried Delights: Strawberry funnel cakes, deep-fried Oreos, and turkey legs.
- Savory Eats: BBQ ribs, corn dogs, and loaded nachos.
- Local Favorites: Fresh strawberry smoothies and strawberry salsa.

Don’t forget to visit Wish Farms Booth to taste their sweet berries. They have been in berry business since 1922, more than a hundred years in the business. They are 4th generation owners. Wish Farms has a foundation that gives back to the community. They are the official sponsor of the Florida Strawberry Festival since 2011 hence the name Wish Farms Soundstage.

One of my favorites that I check when I go is this Creative Sandblasting Shop. I have a strawberry glass ornament for years given by my patient then when I moved to Plant City, I kinda lost it so I bought one again last year.

Tips for Visitors
- Arrive Early: Parking fills up fast, especially on weekends. Arriving before noon will save you time and stress. Personally, I love going after work so I can enjoy the cool weather and lights on the stands and rides.
- Wear Comfortable Shoes: You’ll be walking a lot, so leave the fancy footwear at home. It’s basically 4 blocks from Berryfest Place to N. Ritter St.
- Bring Cash: While many vendors accept cards, having cash on hand for smaller purchases or rides is helpful. I also do this, it’s a lot easier.
- Stay Hydrated: Florida’s March is still perfect to walk around the festival.
- Check the Schedule: Visit the festival’s official website for daily schedules and updates.
Getting There
Plant City is conveniently located between Tampa and Orlando. Here are your options:
- By Car: Take I-4 and follow signs for Plant City. Ample parking is available near the festival grounds for $5-$10. Others are $3.00
- Public Transportation: Check local transit schedules for bus options.
- Rideshares: Services like Uber and Lyft are also available, but expect surge pricing during peak hours.
Parking is a little bit easier along W. Oaks Ave coming from I-4 or Thonotosassa Rd than trying to get on Reynolds St 574 to look for a parking spot where the action is.

If you’re planning an overnight trip, consider these options:
- Local Hotels: Comfort Inn, Hampton Inn, and Fairfield Inn offer comfortable accommodations nearby.
- Vacation Rentals: Explore Airbnb or Vrbo for unique stays.
