A Fusion of Art and Adventure
The Building
Located at 2606 Fairfield Ave S. in the heart of St. Pete’s Warehouse Arts district, the museum is a ticketed, choose-your-own-experience attraction. It is inside the The Factory building with 15,000 square feet space of exploration for this immersive art and technology exhibit.
The Fairgrounds building is covered with these beautiful and colorful murals. So let’s start here!! And since I am visual and love colors, in this blog let’s make it fun and colorful!!
Fairgrounds St. Pete is not your typical art exhibit. It’s a dynamic fusion of interactive art installations and exhilarating experiences that captivate the senses and spark the imagination. From the moment you step inside, you’re transported to a world where creativity takes center stage and boundaries are meant to be pushed.
The Infamous Mermaid Motel Sign
As you enter the building you will see this Motel Sign, this sign is a must for photography. I’ve seen this so many times posted on social media and didn’t know what it was when it first came out but I was interested because I love lights, LED’s and colors.
Exploring the Wonderland
So one of our friends Charles recommended this art museum that is kinda new, opened in 2021 and since I love lights, LED’s and colors, I brought my bff’s to tag along with me. It took me a while to visit this place because they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesday and I get a day off one Wednesday every month when I’m on call.
Let’s step into a whimsical wonderland where each room holds a new surprise waiting to be discovered. From larger-than-life artwork to optical illusions, Fairgrounds St. Pete is a playground for the curious mind. I believe this museum suits best for kids and kids alike like me who loves lights, colors and most of all, loves to pose on camera!!

Lastly, it’s a new vibe around the area.
The museum is not as big as I had expected but hey it’s 15,000 square feet and nonetheless, I super enjoyed taking photos in every room. I wish they included the artist’s name on every artwork though. Also, the general admission is a little bit higher than other museums in St. Pete but for me it is worth it.
