Discover Cambria Hotel St. Petersburg Madeira Beach
Nestled in the vibrant Madeira Beach area of St. Pete, Florida, the Cambria Hotel is an idyllic retreat for travelers seeking sun, sand, and a touch of luxury. Whether you’re planning a family vacation, a romantic escape, or a solo adventure, this modern hotel offers a blend of comfort, style, and convenience that sets the stage for an unforgettable stay. I did a solo adventure but my friend stayed with me in this hotel.
A Prime Location
Cambria Hotel St. Pete Madeira Beach boasts a prime location just steps away from the pristine shores of Madeira Beach which is I love about this place. The hotel’s proximity to the Gulf of Mexico means guests can easily enjoy the sun-kissed sands and crystal-clear waters. It is basically 2-3 min walk from this hotel. Additionally, the hotel’s central location provides easy access to the vibrant local scene, including John’s Pass Village & Boardwalk, a bustling hub of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options.
I booked my hotel through Booking.com they price match, their website is very easy to navigate and I love how they emphasize the review score on the upper right if it’s Excellent, pleasant or good that you can see it right away and you can read the reviews when you click it.
Luxurious Accommodations
The rooms and suites at Cambria Hotel are designed with the discerning traveler in mind. Each room features bluish colored contemporary wall, plush bedding, and modern amenities to ensure a restful stay. Guests can choose from a variety of room types, from 1 king bed to 2 queen beds including spacious suites with little private balconies offering breathtaking views of the Gulf. High-speed Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and in-room coffee, a little fridge add to the convenience and comfort of your stay. I would say the price is decent not expensive not cheap, it’s in between but the hotel is worth a stay!!
2 QUEEN BEDS, Mobility Accessible – On this stay I chose 2 queen beds, I did a little solo trip ( I’m just a local and needed a little getaway because of my little girl’s passing, my doggy Little Bit ) but my bff Marie joined me in to stay for the night. The room is beautiful, I love the interior look, the bed is very comfy. I am a dog lover mourning for the loss of my little girl Little Bit so I used her doggy vaca bag ๐ Cambria Hotel is No Pets Allowed.
But one thing I love about Cambria Hotel is the extra sofa and a little table at the end of the room where you can sit, eat and relax away from your bed.

I so love Cambria Hotel’s bathroom, it has a stylish decor, looks new and very clean which is a very big plus when you’re staying in a hotel. Take a look!!
Pardon my looks as I am still mourning and is very sad and missing my little girl Little Bit so bad..
The room includes a flat screen tv, free wi-fi, keurig coffee maker, iron and ironing board, closet, work station with a swivel chair, sofa and table. The microwave and small fridge is inside that cabinet door under that coffee maker.

Glass Art Lovers: Check out my Imagine Museum Contemporary Glass Art blog. It is a must visit when in St. Pete. It is simply breathtaking!!
- On-site Dining: Savor delicious meals at the hotel’s on-site restaurant, which offers a diverse menu featuring local and international cuisine. We went out for dining but we enjoyed our breakfast here. We ordered the “BYO” Omelet for $12.00 and it was really good. The lady server was very attentive and keeps coming back to check if we need anything. They have Ember Lounge at the rooftop, this one is Prime Waters on the 3rd floor and connected to Don The Beachcombers on the 1st floor.
- Fitness Center: Stay active during your vacation with the hotel’s state-of-the-art fitness center, equipped with modern workout machines. I don’t do this kind of thing lol so didn’t bother to check.

Exploring the Unique Lobby on the 3rd Floor
One of the standout features of Cambria Hotel Madeira Beach is its beautifully designed lobby located on the 3rd floor. As soon as you step off the elevator, you’re greeted by a modern and inviting space that perfectly sets the tone for your stay. The lobby offers comfortable seating areas, stylish decor, and large windows that flood the space with natural light, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s a great spot to relax, meet up with friends, or plan your day’s adventures. Don’t miss the chance to explore this unique space and soak in the vibrant energy it exudes.
What’s not to miss when in Tampa/St. Pete area: The Ringling Mansion Ca d’Zan in Sarasota, FL. Worth a visit with breathtaking terrace at the back of the mansion.
Main Entrance 1st Floor
After the Valet, when you enter there is nothing really going on on the 1st floor, basically a sofa, elevator to go up, make sure you check in at the lobby on the 3rd floor and the entrance to Don The Beachcomber which is a great authentic Tiki Bar and Polynesian inspired dishes. I just passed by and didn’t have the time but the reviews and the photos of the bar is great. They are open
What to know ahead about Cambria Hotel
Valet Only
The hotel is Valet only. It is $25.00 per night. There are no free parking around the hotel. To be honest, I enjoyed the valet service. The guys were very courteous. When you arrive you park on the right in the middle, leave your key and he will give you a paper tag where you scan or text the hotel whenever you need your car.
When you are about to leave the hotel, scan the code and you will receive a prompt text that they received your request and your car will be ready in 3 or 5 minutes in my experience depending on how busy the valet service is. In my experience, I scan the tag just before I leave the hotel room and when I get down on the 1st floor my car is on the left side waiting.
No Pets Allowed
Unfortunately, to all the dog lovers, Fur Mamas like me, Cambria Hotel does not allow pets. The only reason I stayed here is because I just recently lost my little girl Little Bit, I canceled our 10 day vacation in GA/TN and just thought of going to St. Pete to meet up with my friends and since I don’t have any, I thought of trying this hotel and I enjoyed my stay. I brought my little girl in spirit with me.
Sunset Toasts at the Rooftop/Pool Bar
One of the reasons I wanted to stay here is because I love sunsets and I do sunset photography. I know this hotel has one of the best sunset views at the rooftop. They offer a sunsets toasts daily, on my stay I was told sunset toasts at 8:30pm. So if you ever stay here, don’t miss this!! Unfortunately in my case, we went out for dinner and got back at the hotel late and missed it. We tried to go but the door was already closed. Btw, the rooftop closes at 10pm I think.

Exploring Madeira Beach and St. Pete
One of the highlights of staying at Cambria Hotel is its proximity to some of the best attractions in Madeira Beach and St. Pete. I have a lot of recommendations in mind but here are a few must-visit spots:
- John’s Pass Village & Boardwalk: This popular destination is home to an array of shops, restaurants, and water activities. Enjoy fresh seafood, shop for unique souvenirs, or embark on a dolphin-watching tour. I personally had an amazing time here, exploring the eclectic mix of boutiques and indulging in some of the best seafood I’ve ever tasted. This is like a 3-5 min drive from Cambria Hotel.
- St. Pete Beach: Just a short drive away, St. Pete Beach offers stunning sunsets, water sports, and a lively beachfront atmosphere.
- The Dali Museum: Art enthusiasts will appreciate a visit to The Dali Museum in downtown St. Petersburg, which houses an impressive collection of Salvador Dali’s works.
- Chihuly Collection: From the renowned american glassblower Dale Chihuly, you will enjoy a breathtaking glass art at the Morean Arts Center. This is one of my personal favorites since I love glass art. You can check the breathtaking glass art photos on my blog Chihuly Collection: Exploring the colorful and vibrant world of glass art.
We hung out outside Driftwood Kava near Chihuly and behind me is Chihuly’s spectacular glass art display. Btw, I am so in love with this summer casual side split long maxi dress, it is very comfortable and cool to the skin, I bought 3 of these with different prints but black is by far my most favorite. You can get this at Amazon.com. I also often get asked about my bag, I bring this everywhere with me and mostly on my photos. This is the iconic Falabella by Stella McCartney.
- Fort De Soto Park: For nature lovers, a trip to Fort De Soto Park is a must. This expansive park features beautiful beaches, picnic areas, and trails for hiking and biking.
