Exploring Paris for a day is impossible. So planning ahead where and what places to visit is a big plus.
We are just lucky my childhood friend Dominick is a local, it saved us time to try to speak french asking people on ” How & Where to ” LOL.
So we decided to just tour around the city and just make the most out of it excluding Versailles as it takes an hour to get there.
We live in FL and decided to go to Europe for my bff’s birthday celebration.
It was just spur-of-the-moment kind of thing.
And I just can’t leave Europe without visiting Paris even just for a day.
So let’s go!!
London to Paris
The Get Up
From London to Paris you can take a train via Eurostar train. First trip is around 6 am and last trip back to London is around 9 pm. But since we were a day late, we were not able to use our Eurostar train ticket and it is NON-REFUNDABLE. We ended up flying through Easy Jet via Luton International Airport which is an hour away from Hyde Park.
Travel Time: Eurostar Train : 3.5 hour.
Upon arriving at Paris Airport, I met up with my childhood friend Dominick who I have not seen in the last 30 years and she lives in Paris. The best way to get around Paris is to have a local tour guide and it just happened to be her that day.
After picking us up at the Airport, we took a train to our first destination. While we were on train, we had some time to chat and catch up.
Travel Time by train: 1 hour
TIP: Get a 1-Day Pass Metro Train Ticket if you plan to commute by train. Makes it a lot easier.

Finally, I’m here staring at this beauty. It is mesmerizing.
Enjoying the moment, making a pose and busy clicking the camera.
Make sure to take a lot of photos and videos.
Hey!! If you’re only there for a day, make the most out of it.
The beauty from the top of Eiffel Tower

Do you know that it was named after the French engineer Gustav Eiffel whose company is specialized in building metal frameworks and structures.
It was built from 1887-1889 to be one of the main attractions at the Paris World’s Fair in 1889.
It is made of puddle ( wrought ) iron. It weight approximately 10,100 tons.
The monument is a lady. It was first called ” The 300-Meter tower and later nicknamed up to now ” The Iron Lady

Running through the heart of Paris is the River Seine ( pronounced as Sen )and is just situated just right next to the Eiffel Tower. The River Seine is the epicenter of the French capital. It is the beating heart of the city.
The River has 2 banks:
The Left Bank is called La Rive Gauche – This side of the river has been linked to artists, writers and cafe coutures like Picasso, Hemingway and Matisse.
The Right Bank is called Rive Droite – This side has been associated with Arts, Philosphy ans other Intellectual Pursuits

Do you know that YSL’s Rive Gauche perfume and bag is named after this Left River Bank? In 1966, YSL opened a ready-to-wear-boutique in Paris situated in the Seine’s left bank called “Saint Laurent Rive Gauche “

Paris Travel Tip :
If you don’t have the time to get on a cruise like us, just go to the bridge Pont d’lena for a perfect shot of the Eiffel Tower and The River Seine. This is a connecting bridge from left bank to the right. You can also go down the left bank to take abetter shot of the Eiffel Tower. Or on the other side which we missed The Champs de Mars.
3rd Stop : The Louvre Museum
What to see in Louvre:
Here’s some of the famous paintings amongst others.:

Unfortunately, because we were so hungry, we were not able to take pictures of the dishes. But the food and service was great.
One thing we learned in Paris though..
When in Paris Tip & Fun Fact :
When in Paris, it is NOT required to give a TIP like adding 15-20% in your bill as it is already included. My local friend was surprised we were fast in adding 20% and upon leaving the restaurant the other male staff followed us and said we gaved too much. LOL True story.
Since we are only there for a day and is impossible to visit all the historic places, we skipped other iconic spots like the Cathedrals, Musee de’Orsay, so our next destination is…
Finally, I AM HERE at the most famous street in the world. Champs Elysees is known to be the number 1 most famous street in the world and of course our Paris trip is incomplete without exploring and shopping a little bit at Champs Elysees.
I kinda like the idea that I read on a blog that says, ” When in Paris, you buy something that you can only find in Paris “. I have been eyeing on this bag in the last 7 years and waited to buy it in person.
Visiting the flagship store: Faure Le Page
Bag: The Daily Battle Tote
Galleries
Just FYI: Faure Le Page’s The Daily Battle tote bag is always compared to Goyard’s St. Louis tote.
My Next Stop: Goyard’s St. Louis tote for my cousin Conse in Canada.. but unfortunately, they were closed at that moment as they limit the clients inside. Out of her frustration, she ended up getting one from Japan.
How cool is that?
Exploring the avenue des Champs Elysees
Often referred to as ” The Most Beautiful Avenue in the world “ and the 3rd’s most expensive retail price location in temrs of shopping. It stretches from Arc de Triomphe to Place de la concorde up to Arc de triomphe.
It is a shopping paradise. Home to a number of luxury brands like Louis Vuitton’s 7 floor flagship store, Dioer, Celine among others.
The line is long so..will just do photoshoot..lol
Celebrity Hotspot: Fouquet’s Restaurant
Famous Celebrity Hotspot
Last Stop: Arc De Triomphe

Although we missed a lot of iconic tourist spots, nonetheless we had a great time.
